The Song Factory is an independent music publishing company based in Nashville.  Established in 2008 as the shared vision of Jennifer Johnson and Jim Kaufman to cultivate the careers of songwriters and bring life to the song, we work tirelessly to properly present our writer-artists to the best label with career songs and to connect our writers with the best co-writers and artists.

We are proud to publish song catalogs of Jon Pardi, Dustin Lynch, Rob Crosby, Bart Butler, Larry McCoy, Ashley McBryde, Britton Cameron, Tim Johnson, Olivia Rudeen, Blue Foley, Dillon Carmichael, Burton Collins, Lena Stone, Julie Moriva, Andrea Pearson, Nathan Christopher, Terry Lee Palmer, and Jacquelyn Conoly.  In addition to songs recorded by Jon Pardi, Dustin Lynch, Eric Paslay, Lady Antebellum, Joe Nichols, Scotty McCreery, Steel Magnolia, Don Williams, Trisha Yearwood, JT Hodges, Joey + Rory, and James Wesley, our catalog contains collaborations with countless hit songwriters and songs shared with nearly every major and independent music publisher in Nashville.

In 2010 we enjoyed our first chart success with Steel Magnolia’s “Just By Being You” (Cameron, Conroy).

In 2011 we were pleased to see Jon Pardi sign an exclusive recording agreement with Capitol Records Nashville and Dustin Lynch sign an exclusive recording agreement with Broken Bow Records.

In 2012 we continued to support Dustin Lynch as his debut single “Cowboy’s And Angels” (Lynch/Leo/Nichols) reached #2 on Billboard’s Country Songs chart and Jon Pardi as his debut single “Missin’ You Crazy” (Pardi/Butler/Holmes) spent 35 weeks on Billboard’s Country Songs chart.  We published ten songs on Dustin Lynch’s debut album release, which reached #1 on Billboard’s Country Albums chart.

In 2013 we published Dustin Lynch’s single “She Cranks My Tractor”, Jon Pardi’s single “Up All Night”, James Wesley’s single “Thank A Farmer”, Eric Paslay’s single “Friday Night”, and Sarah Darling’s single “Little Umbrellas”.

In 2014 we celebrated our first #1 song with Eric Paslay’s “Friday Night” (Crosby/Paslay/Falcon), we published ten songs on Jon Pardi’s debut album, Write You A Song, including the single “What I Can’t Put Down” (Pardi/Butler/Long), five songs on Dustin Lynch’s sophomore album, and our music was featured on ABC’s Nashville and The Bachelorette.

In 2015 we published five songs on Jon Pardi’s The B-Sides, 2011-2014 EP, Jon Pardi’s single “When I’ve Been Drinkin” (Pardi/Butler/Spillman) and JT Hodges’ single “Raybans” (Butler/Hodges/Goodvin).

In 2016 we published Jon Pardi’s #1 single “Head Over Boots” (Pardi/Laird).

In 2017 we are publishing seven songs on Jon Pardi’s California Sunrise.
